The very beginning of the road where it branches off Route 40 is a bit rough due to constant rockfall from above, but the rest of the road is in surprisingly good shape with only a handful of rough spots. Likely doable in an crossover SUV.
Steep with mild washboards at the beginning but all clear and easily drivable with no issues.
