Hey Steve, thanks for sharing your report! I saw that the Kingdom Lakes report was removed and based on the road conditions, I might guess it was buggy/not working correctly. I just thought I'd add that if they get changed unexpectedly, it's super easy for me to fix on my end. Also, if there was any part of the road report entry that you found not working as expected, please do let me know as I can and will fix it to make sure it's work for everyone!
Thanks for reaching out. I have made some mistakes learning to add Kingdom Lake FSR conditions. It should be Good to the 23 km, than impassable but every time I tried to fix it I just make it worse. Is it possible for you to delete my Kingdom Lake Bulletins and I will re enter them> I think I see what I did wrong? Thanks
Hey Steve, I believe the original one is removed now already so you should be good to re-add it whenever it works for you! I will manually set the conditions to what you've said here in the mean time. You've probably figured it out by now, but if you're setting conditions for the road and you add a condition you didn't mean too you can double click on the little slider "handle" that you drag left and right. That will remove the condition all together.
If you're still running into issues, do let me know and I can try and troubleshoot with you!
Thanks, my problem was I forgot how to use the slider to get to the section of road I wanted to put the bulletin on. A litttle practice and I will remember.
I am having problems figuring out different section of a road conditions. Also I wanted to update the condition of a couple of bridges but can't see how. (See my Chism Creek FSR bulletin) Is there a help page I am not seeing? I do a fair bit of backroad wandering and love this site. Once I firgure out what I'm doing I'll contribute more
Hey Steve, I'll put together a better tutorial page for the conditions and that should hopefully make it a bit more clear. As for adding bridges and gates there is a small help section hidden behind a drop down. I've added a link to the help video here: https://backroadstatus.com/videos/add-feature-demo.mp4. You'll be able to add the bridges/gates whenever you add a new bulletin or when you're editing one you've already added
Thanks for the help
Hey Steve, I've overhauled the user guide and added more instructions on how to use the road rating system. If you get the chance check it out here: https://backroadstatus.com/faq#road-ratings and let me know if anything needs improvement
