I don't know the full history but I tried to drive this road a couple years ago but the washed out bridges were still being repaired by the pipeline crews. It seems the road ownership is now fully for the pipeline and there is a locked gate on the end of this road at the Coquihalla Lakes side, with signage indicating it is for pipeline access only now.
