Drove to 1540 m to reach Viola Lake Trailhead. road is in good shape to Holly Lake turn off, then bushy but passable in smaller 4Wd (Geo Tracker) to Viola Lake parking. Bridge at start of Downton Creek still unblocked and easily passable.
