A couple more years of wear and most of the ditches aren't really a physical obstacle any more, having filled up or eroded away; they're just full of mud and as Puggins is full of springs most of them never entirely dry up. Not really too bad at the moment, though. Lots of channeling down the road from running water in tire tracks.
The lower part of Puggins Mtn Road. Not technically deactivated, but the numerous water bars cut across the road will make it inaccessible if you don't have a vehicle with good clearance and annoying if you do. Often wet when the remainder of the road is dry, being on the southwest slope of the mountain and thus rained on more often.
