Road was pretty dry going up today. My first piece of advice is to NOT go up when it’s wet/thawing. The road is pretty heavily rutted from vehicles going up when the ground is soft. It’s not deep, but is rutted. The ground almost seems like a claylike. Where it’s wet, it maybe just doesn’t have great drainage. Sort of a dirt (not gravel) from18.8 onward. There’s a few narrow sections between km 19 & 20. Just the road drainage isn’t that great, so there’s a bit of rock on the inner side of the trail, and then what looks to be loose dirt on the outside. Was currently an active haul road. Did not encounter too much traffic today, but LOTS of new spurs and each of those had signs for active falling and hauling on them. Keep your ears on the RR channel for this road.
