Road Bulletins
I drove it in a stock Crosstrek, south/downhill into Penticton. I wouldn't recommend it for an SUV unless you have more clearance, some decent experience, and safety gear. I only used the skid plates once when I misjudged a line, but it's very rocky in places and pretty slow going.
I had fun.
The portion of road connecting Greyback Lake to the 201 (Okanagan Falls Forest Service Road) is in very good condition and can be driven with 2WD.
For better access to Greyback Lake or James Creek Falls, it’s recommended to approach from the south via Beaverdell Road onto Okanagan Falls Forest Service Road (201). Although this route may be longer, it will likely be faster and far less punishing.
