Road follows the straight line rather than taking the clockwise C-shape shown. After the hairpin we took cut back SE (somewhat degraded) then the last spur NE to access the SW bowl of Mt Gagnebin. The last spur (1km) required more chainsaw work than we deemed worth it so we walked it, but the roadbed underneath was fine.
