[From Chris H] - There is a gate and notice that motorized travel is prohibited beyond the gate at around the 21km point (interesting, given the amount of logging in the area). I decided to park at the top of an iced up hill just before the gate, which I found open. I soon regretted my choice, as I spent a ridiculous amount of time walking generally 2WD logging roads. The spur I chose ended up forcing an unpleasant bushwhack in tight second growth and deadfall-ridden old growth, with a snowpack that was non-supportive crust not deep enough for snowshoes.
