Drove this to access Snowspider yesterday. After leaving the Van Horlick, the road becomes increasingly rocky and rough. A few ditches are fairly deep and a high-clearance truck seems mandatory. I wished I'd stopped around 2 km, but pushed on to 2.5 before calling it quits. An embankment around 2 km looks like it could shed boulders at any time, which would render the final stretch impassable. Not as busy as the Van Horlick, but much more rugged. IMO approaching "heavily degraded".

Same conditions as the last year - drivable to the end, 4x4 helps with the ditches.

AWD High Clearance Needed. Some rocky-ish sections (not so loose you lose traction, but a few places you'll need to choose a line carefully in a crossover to avoid damage). slightly deeper ditches than the mainline. ends in a cutblock with a wide space to to turn around
