As the FSR starts to go up the switchbacks after crossing the Clayton River, the road surface is heavily eroded and loose. I made it past all the tricky bits in a stock Subaru Crosstrek (220mm clearance), with some care. At least AWD & some clearance required. Alder starting to really narrow the road at points.

Road has quite a few loose rocks and water bars, which are super easy in a truck but would probably be a show stopper for a low clearance car. Cross Treks and the like should make it with some careful driving. Drove to the 16km mark
