Road Description
The upper Ryan River area has not seen active logging since at least the early 2000’s and in 2003 extensive flooding wiped out virtually all bridges upstream of the 8km mark. Since then the valley is permanently closed beyond the 8km mark for wildlife conservation.
Road Bulletins
Drove up to just behind 7km. The road is in 2wd condition up until the 5km mark. Afterwards there are a few small washouts/trenches that will necessitate a higher clearance vehicle. 30% of the road had washed out at my stopping point so I didn’t proceed but the bridge is out just beyond that point anyhow.
