Road is in somewhat poor condition. A few washoutouts to navigate and a couple of steep and loose sections. HC 4x4 will have no problem. Lower clearance AWD should be fine too. If walking up to Mount St. Benedict save yourself the trouble and park at the bottom of the last hill, or 2.3km. Last section of road is steep and rough and without much room to turn around at the impasse.
