Several squatter camps at the start of this road. The gate at the hiking trailhead was also open today, but further up the road there was a sign that says the road is impassable beyond the 3.5km mark.
Covered with a thin fresh layer of snow but otherwise easy travel to the locked gate & large parking area before the bridge. Ok in a 2wd sedan with half decent tires. I parked & hiked Mount Jarvis, when I returned to my truck there were lots of fresh tire tracks & footprints around but none close to my truck so I don't think anyone around here is interested in stealing your shit.
