Definitely a technical one, optimally you want a capable rig with ~1ft+ clearance and diff lockers... did it in my stock Honda CR-V. Made it up last year in the taco, had doubts about making it up in the CR-V and was ready to turn around at some point. Made it to the hot springs and had no problem keeping up with buddy in his lifted taco! Keep in mind your SUV won't be happy with you, and you'll want a decent driver. Not really recommending the idea to others as to reduce the chance of people busting their oil pans open... but it's doable (kinda) ; )
(Eastbound) Right after one of the tougher cruxes on the road, AWD rigs and ones w/o lockers will struggle on a hump right before this spot.
One of the technical crossings
(Westbound) My buddy going back down the hump I had mentioned earlier, it's a TRD sport (no lockers), even he had to take a couple runs at it first when he was coming up the other way.
