Road Bulletins
Greg Jones reported on: Aug 17, 2019
Road was being roughed in by an excavator, and was very drivable (probably HC 4x4) to 1.5 KM. I actually parked a few KM away on the Collie Creek Road after the new bridge over Collie Creek, as there is a debris torrent shortly after that was running high. My friends house in Blaeberry suffered a huge debris torrent in the creek that runs adjacent to their property a day earlier, so we were a bit too apprehensive, we should have driven the Collie Creek Road, and this road to the 1.5 KM mark where the 2019 upgrade stopped abruptly. Phenomenal access to the mountains beyond from this point. Not a huge deal, but after hiking and scrambling 40+KM over 2 days it was a bit annoying to walk the muddy road waving at the hoe operator who I'm sure was wondering why we didn't drive further than we did.
