[From Chris Jamieson] - the snow starts around the 6km mark but the road is gated anyhow so it only makes a difference for carrying snowshoes/skis

[From AllTrails] - according to recent all trails posts, the road could be easily driven to around 5km, but then it gets exceptionally overgrown from there. The road is apparently permanently gated, so you'd have to walk it anyways.
