After the huge Adams Lake fire, they have built a new section of road that now connects this road to Rawson Road at the lakeshore. I drove 7 km to a nice lookout and turned around (slightly rough HC 2wd). Apparently, it was connected so that residences on the east side of Adams Lake have an emergency exit, that does not include taking the cable ferry across the lake.
