Made the trip out to Copeland Mine from Eagle Pass. Used this road for the return route. It is beyond awful. There is 30 years of growth on this road, that is beyond thick. The whole road is on avalanche slopes, so leaving the road isn't any better travel. Around the 1km mark, the whole road is gone/washed into the creek below. The other 12km of this road are so thick we ended up wading in the creek as it was easier travel. On foot, it's about 1km per hour travel.
If you ever want to visit Copeland, go at it from Eagle Pass and return that way.

The bridge has also been removed at km zero and the creek is not passable by vehicles, unless it was at very low water. And with the major washout at km 1, there's no point in risking your vehicle anyhow.
