Road Bulletins
Mike Barrass reported on: Jun 12, 2026
The road is washed out at about 3.8 km. 49.99571, -123.29057 . A lot of it is clearable by hand but a large truck with a winch would be needed to move a couple of the big rocks over to allow passage. This is about 2 km to the trail head. As you are about to get to the trail head, the bank is falling down a bit, rocks would need to be moved out of the way for driving but until the washout is fixed, it is not worth worrying about.

Snow line around 1000m and became 15 cm ish by 1150 m. Rough road. Jeep Wrangler with beefy tires made to drivable end

Similar to the last report. Passable in a stock short wheelbase 4x4.

Made it up in a Subaru Forester this weekend to about 100m before the pulled bridge where all but the most capable vehicles park up.

Some boulders on the road at a few points but easily navigated. Fairly deep water bars but those were able to be handled with care.

[From Stephan Bernhard] - Drove up Branch 220/223 to 1150m. Road in decent shape, some big boulders on the road but you can navigate around. Unfortunately there are piles burning in the recent cutblocks on Branch 220/223

4WD. Rocks in the road can be driven around.
