The road has some steep sections with loose rocks and waterbars. We drove a Nissan X-Trail with AWD and winter tries aired down to 27 PSI and didn't have any issues getting to 1240 m. A Subaru Impreza and Volkswagen Jetta were parked at the junction at 8.5 km. Not sure I'd recommend that but they obviously made it up.

A snow cat was parked on the road just past the junction. We were able to pass on the side where some higher clearance helps but that might have stopped those other cars from continuing.

Road is snow-free until 1250 m, where some snow patches remain. Above that, snow is continuous past 1310 m. A Toyota Tacoma was parked at 1310 m, but all other vehicles parked at 1240 m. The first snow patches were deep and slushy so it didn't seem worth trying to go further.
