Start of snow line.
Snow started at 1062 m. Intermittent closures as mentioned but didn’t see any today.

Road closure sign at bottom of Cheekye.
Drove up to 1000M before we hit snow. Road was in good condition. We were in a 4WD but AWD would be fine (even 2wd with good driving in my opinion). Periodic road closures April 14-june13th, Monday to Friday from 5am to 4pm. (See photo)

A logging company blocked the Cheekye FSR about 1km from the highway. There is a truck parked in the middle of the road with a gatekeeper. No access to Brohm Creek FSR, Brohm Ridge FSR, Cat Lake, etc. This was on a weekday, unsure if it is open on the weekends.

Drove to snowline at 1000m (7.5km) easily in a Subaru and an old RAV4. A excavator was replacing culverts about halfway up. There is a fresh cut block as marked in the map above at 5KM, so expect logging traffic on weekdays (RR channel on a sign lower down). As noted below, Brohm FSR was blocked for roadwork, but having driven both in the past year, I would say Cheekye is in better shape.

Easily drivable to 1200m in a Subaru. Snow blocked further progress here.

Made it to 1350m before being stopped by snow. Doable to here in a Subaru. Made it without chains but barely. Impassable past 1370m due to snow. Water bars were manageable from here down to 1100 junction.

[From Angus] - I also went up on Sunday. We were able to drive to snowline at ~1200m up Brohm ridge, just above where the two FSRs meet. There’s a few spots where you’ll have to take skis off, but still mostly skin-able from that point
