Road is generally good, a few deep grass filled ditches from pulled culverts. Drove to 1715m on the RH fork spur, then backtracked and parked at the fork(1675m). The LH fork heads to big sheep mountain. There's a big mud ditch then it's quite grown in. From the fork we biked up to 2000+m and only stopped because of snow. With some chainsaw work an ATV could likely still drive up the old mining track on big sheep mountain. We climbed Noaxe and big sheep from the pass.
Road is further than appears on this website, and is also not in Downton Creek
