Traveled eastbound. Starts as a rough doubletrack that weaves its way through cattle country. Plenty of ruts and cattle guards. Starts to open up and improve around 19km. East half of the road is decent. Great views east as you start to descend around 9km. If visiting Ashcroft, be sure to try the mini cream puffs at the Ashcroft Bakery and Coffee Shop.
