The road to the lake is in good shape but has a gate at 200m elevation. Once you start on this section it's just an overgrown logging road. Not driveable it's now just a semi maintained hiking trail. It gives you access to Thunderbird mountain - Ragged Mountain - and Pinnacle Peak. Not quite fully overgrown but sides are encroaching the further North you go.
