SWBC Peak Baggers reported on: Jun 05, 2024
[From Matt Juhasz] - Road Closed signage at the lodge saying closure in 6km. We continued on to see the nature of the closure. Technical 4x4hi driving with mud holes and several downed trees that we sawed through and cleared. At 6km is a spur that (presumably) heads east to Wasp Lake and new closure sign, large ATV-passable deactivation ditch. There is space to park here so Taseko 2024 will require a 16-km-mountain-bike-approach (or ATV). We tried to drive deeper but the 4x4 was incredibly difficult and high consequence.
