There is some sort of drilling operation happening on the lower part of this road and so the road has been brushed and fixed up to about the 1300m mark. After that it gets more overgrown and rutted out. The entire road is quite steep with numerous tight switchbacks. On the way up it wasn't too bad, but on the return trip I had to pull into the flat zones at each switch back and make 3 point turns. One corner I skipped doing that and nearly tipped the truck off the road.

I've marked the lower section as somewhat degraded because of the road grade. You'll still need a capable HC 4x4 just to get to 1300m. Once you're in the alpine at 2000m the road gets easier, albeit with lots of loose rocks. We saw about 6 trucks/jeeps up there over the weekend.
