Based on old satellite it looks like this road is a very old logging road which had returned to nature, but was somewhat opened back up perhaps as a fire break for the 2023 July Mountain Wildfire.
We found steep and deep cross ditches every 50m or so until the impass marker where it was just to deep to keep going by vehicle. It looks like dirtbike/atv could make quick work of this road when looking ahead.
