From Beaver Mines Lake it travels south down the Castle River valley.

AB Parks has transported in a bunch of crush to fill in potholes and bumps. Smooth sailing to the gate. There is a small swale that you need to navigate near the start of the road, but that seems to have been made a fair bit tamer this year.

Road is its usual potholed and mud puddle mess until the barricade at 5.6 KM. The creek crossing at 0.6 KM is dry and fine for any HC 4x4
