Road Bulletins
I was easily able to drive the whole way in a stock, gas RAV4. There are a number of small water bars at the start and a couple at the end. Note you can also drive a further c. 600m of the Blowdown Pass Connector to where there were several vehicles parked. I think you could take a sedan to at least c. 9.3km, and any SUV to the end, except if very wet. It's a little rougher for the last c. 900m (and the first c. 600m of the Blowdown Pass Connector).
The FSR is in fantastic condition! Very minimal waterbars. We saw a small Honda Fit at the 2WD parking area.
Definitely subaru-able up to at least 9km. A bit rough on the climb going up from the highway compared to most of the road. After that, the going is pretty smooth... until ~9km where a few more technical-ish climbs come up, nothing crazy. The part of the road marked in red (past 10km) is being reclaimed by alder more and more each year, the beginning still looked drivable from the small bit that I saw (heavy pinstriping would be inevitable), can't speak for the rest of it. There's another short spur heading ESE after the 10km switchback with a fair sized turnaround/campsite at it's end. The entire road seems like it's becoming more vulnerable to overgrowth (grass+mud in the road, encroaching alders...). If a small cutblock gets approved along it soon, the road might get some well-needed maintenance.
Road is in good AWD condition to the spur at 50.37004,-122.19513 (10.7km). The avalanche debris mentioned in the Oct 2023 bulletin is still there but being driven around.
[From Kris Hughes] - The FSR was [in good shape] to the 10km mark [with] only a light dusting of snow
Road is in great condition except for the last ~300m where some avalanche debris has scoured the road. 4WD can easily make it through this, but lower clearance cars will likely have to park here. Plenty of space to park before and after.
