Nahatlatch River FSR - Bulletin
Gavin reported on: Mar 01, 2026
Good condition past 18 km at least. The usual minor potholes. Quite muddy. Industrial traffic on a Sunday up to Kookipi. Looks like they're working all over the place. Probably towards the Fire Lookout, Log Creek, and Kookipi. 2 piles of dirt somewhere along the road narrowing to 1 lane. Bring a radio. Most of them are calling KMs, but I did meet one on the 5 km bridge that didn't. 8 km Apocynum Campground is no more. It's a boulder field. Looks like they're piling boulders by Log Creek, too. I didn't drive in to take a look, but you can see from the main FSR.

Such a shame, the fires really wrecked havoc on this area. Even getting to Grizzly falls now is an ordeal

Did it get worse going to Grizzly Falls? I've made it there once in my Honda Pilot Trailsport last July. I'm still on snow tires, so I wasn't gonna try.
I was there in Maylast, so it wouldn't be worse than when you saw it, but in my opinion it's pretty bad. Especially considering it would have been a pretty easy drive at one point
