Road Bulletins
I'm changing the rating to somewhat degraded. We drove my stock 94 toyota pickup to the impasse at the 4.3km mark on this map. Some steep water bars to climb in and out of but the road is open and the bed is fine aside from some boulders that have fallen across the road early on, we got out and moved the smaller ones so we could drive thru but the big ones remain. After the impasse it's an open road till the 5km spur road which we walked for Spuzzum Mountain. It's alder infested so you want snow cover.
[From Mark Darville] - Our morning started off on the Tsileuh Creek FSR and stopping at 283m thanks to the first deep water we came across due to the risk that the dirt might soften later in the day causing us to get stuck. So it was an extra 1km from where we initially wanted to stop. The SS starting point is non existent due to a major boulder field/creek crossing landslide. So the most you could [go to] is 415m.
The beginning of the FSR plod was normal, to be expected with some of the Coquihalla range poking out. Things were going fine until 590m when all hell broke loose as thick alder bushwacking began. This essentially went on for 4.5km. Matt had his snowshoes on at 1000m whereas we opted to put ours on at 1100~m.
