Road Bulletins

We ebiked up the road from the SL2 branch to 1300m or so and gave up, the road is more like a creek bed in many places now, between 1.5km and 2km is getting pretty rough and was horrible to try and ebike up after that it gets better but the road blew out a little at the culvert at 1160m but is still partially holding together but probably wont for much longer.

The steep section between 3 and 3.5km is another shitty rocky section and we gave up trying to ebike up it about half way. Beyond that the road gets better but is still kinda loose near the switch backs with some narrow sections. If you get this far park at the old ruins at 4.5km there is a flat open area. After that the road narrows and the landslide blocks any progress after that. Unless the mine becomes viable again I dont see anyone ever clearing that beast of a slide.

This road is in worse condition than the previous. The first 2KMs aren't too bad, just quite steep.
KM2-2.5 is still steep, but large rocks made up the road base and it's quite rough and rock crawling like.
KM2.5-3.5 is quite narrow with a fair bit of alder however no major obstacles.
The switchbacks at KM4 are quite steep and loose with a fair bit of exposure.
There is a large flat area to park at KM4.5.
The road is completely blocked by a slide at 49.30923, -121.46336. There is room to turn around and park 1, maybe 2 cars here. However, even at the end of the day I was glad I parked at the large area at KM4.5. It only added 3 minutes.
After scrambling across the slide the remained of the road makes for an easy trail.
