The August 1 storm caused several washouts that have degraded the road above the river ford where the bridge used to be. The worst section was the large washout just before the river ford. We were trapped behind the debris for several hours, building rock ramps. The travel surface is narrow, off camber and very sketchy above a dropoff
Large washout berm on the road above the river ford. We had to build rock ramps to try and get over the off camber berm to descend out of the area. It was a very sketchy escape that took hours.
Road was in ok shape to the very sketchy bridge at 14 km. There were make shift 2x4's and planks that folks had brought up to patch up the rotted bridge deck. We did not drive across but other have (and do).
