Road Bulletins
The road is in good condition, an AWD SUV or Subaru type vehicle should be fine. A few ruts but should be able to navigate fine. Some evidence of recent logging, no trucks or equipment but log stacks left.
[From Matt L] - Any AWD vehicle with even ok clearance will get to the TH with some careful driving, just watch the many blind corners and soft shoulders. There are a couple trench features, but just straddle them. The road is in great shape by BC FSR standards. You can drive up to a camping area at ~1200m. The road past that is blocked entirely by rock fall, maybe you squeak past on a dirt bike or quad, but it only adds a couple km to the hike.
Road blocked due to landslide / rockfall at 1275m up to that point there are two sections of the road that have decent rutting from water run off and require care to maneuver but an AWD SUV made it no problem.
