Found conditions inline with the previous report by Mike Hiker. To expand on his description however, I should note that beyond the hydro dam, and especially beyond the bridge over North Kwoiek Creek, the road is starting to get progressively more and more grown in with alders. The good news is that there does appear to be people that are periodically trimming them back, though you still might get some minor pinstriping just driving to the lake now, whereas previously one only had to worry about that if they continued past the lake. We parked at 14.5 KMs at the last campsite, after which the road becomes even more grown in but more problematically, there are several downed trees that still need to be cut. Were this to be done, one could drive the extra 2 KMs to the washout, where most vehicles would be stopped and forced to park. From the washout to the Chochiwa Lake/Tzequa Lakes trailhead is about 5 KMs of easy but mostly boring walking.
Same condition as before. The road is getting quite overgrown beyond the impasse now and even biking it is getting a bit challenging. Lots of pinstriping after Kwoiek Lake
[From Erich Hill] - The road is graded from pavement all along keefers fsr to the hydrostation. [Impasse at the beginning is removed]. [The washout at at the first lake is still present]. A landslide came down with trees (not actually a washout now that i think of it) and someones cut a path up and over the pile. Its super ugly and i think youd beat up a pretty serious truck going over it. I think a SxS would have to winch over it. Thing is the road goes to shit after about 2km anyways so not worth crawling over the pile.
[From Jono Carlyle] - The Kwioek Forest service road is in rapid deterioration. There are many washout areas and approximately 6 km from the lake The road is absolutely impassible due to a massive landslide of mud rocks trees debris etc. We spoke to some ATV enthusiasts and it took five of them hours with chainsaws and lifting the ATV over the landslide to get one person across. *The road to John George Lake is impassable, You will need to walk the last 6 km of the FSR*. To get to this point you'll definitely need a 4x4 with a pinstripe paint job
