We decided to risk it through the clearing in the land slide, but don’t take our success for granted. The creek is now running through the landslide and onto the road and creating deep muddy ruts and exposed rocks. The landslide itself is huge. Road beyond is in good condtion

Last week (Sep 02, 2026) a contractor from Gold Bridge dug a trench through the landslide and drove our cars across. On Sep 03 we went up there and retrieved the cars.
We looked at the passage through the landslide and it was muddy and the creek is now crossing it, so I'm not confident this is going to be passable for too long. I wouldn't risk it.
This is unfortunate because the rest of the road remains in good (and 2WD) condition. Let's hope the regional district funds the full repair of that section.

I received a message from Laurent S. saying that the road was completely blocked by a landslide at km 18 and machinery is unable to clear it. Cars are trapped on the other side and the individuals had to get air lifted by SAR.

In very good condition. AWD is ok.

[From Vicki Hau] - road to Jamie creek station not plowed. 0’c at 7.30 at the car and rained all morning. Bruce Kay also states: "way heads up for rockfall, icefall avalanche hazard and possibly even being trapped by road washouts. Can't think of a worse time for anything ice in Lillooet r anywhere actualy".

Drove up to the Jamie Creek FSR turn off and found the road in perfect conditions.
