Road Description

Bruce Fairley reported this road as being a next extension in the 80's giving easier access to Skihist and other nearby summits. However, it has not been logged since and so this road is likely nearing 40 years without any logging activity. Satellite imagery seems to indicate that it's heavily overgrown.

The best spot to cross, the picture doesn't do it justice. The log is cracked lengthwise too near the opposite bank, but felt solid still. Low water the creek could be forded down lower
0 stars, don't recommend!
Only slightly better than bushwacking completely, only saving grace is its a flat roadbed still. There is no easy way to cross at high water, It was a deathtrap with the recent heat. We did manage to find a log to cross @ 50.144, -121.719. If you use this do yourself a favor and sidehill about 50 feet high above the raging creek to avoid all the cliffs and devils club down low. After the crossing the road is more grown in, and is slow going. Bring something to protect your eyes from sticks!
