Pretty much an ATV track. The road base is loose and steep and it only gets worse the further you go on. However, there is no major washout to get through. We had to walk the last hundred meters or so on dirt bikes, ATVs were making it up without a problem. This is called the 'Lion King Trail' should be able to find videos of it youtube that should show off what the road is like better than my photos. I've seen photos of specialized 4x4s up this road so it has been done!
There is steep crossing over the Sumallo River at the start of the branch. Looks doable with a good 4x4. After that the road narrows but there are no major washouts or obstacles. An ATV would have no issues getting up here. It looks like someone has been keeping the alder cut back. Great access to the Sumallo Cirque!
