Road Bulletins
Vien Nguyen reported on: Apr 25, 2026
Some large deadfall on this road. Bring a chainsaw. Then smooth until ~3km where large blocks and boulders have fallen and blocked the road again (this section seems unstable in general). Immediately after the bridge is blocked by a large landslide that will require heavy machinery to clear. After that the road is peppered with deadfall and medium density alder.
Steven Song reported on: Jun 15, 2025
Boulders at the “impasse” had been moved allowing Subaru Forestet to go thru
Andrew Knapman reported on: May 04, 2025
Road is in great shape to the S426 junction, any SUV should be fine. We did accidentally drive beyond the junction and encountered a small rock slide. Looked like it coukd easily be moved by hand, but we turned back realizing we missed our turn.

Report from Douglas Vis on Feb. 19, 2024 still applicable, though you're unlikely to get to the impassable feature (in the winter) unless you have a vehicle capable of handling the deep snow. Likely no problem in the Summer.
Stephan Bernhard reported on: Apr 21, 2024
Road is in good condition until the junction with S426. Didn't drive any further due to snow.
Douglas Vis reported on: Feb 19, 2024
Small rock fall on the road will stop vehicles 200m before the Carnival Creek crossing.
