Road Bulletins

The Hurley is The Hurley, so no major changes to report, but it's definitely in the most washboard and pot-holed state I've seen yet. Don't expect a fast cruise
Andrea Tate reported on: Aug 04, 2025
Easy driving even for 2WD, getting a bit heavy on the washboarding though. Presumably it will get re-graded soon.
Raphael Smith reported on: May 24, 2025
Excellent condition, fast travel in a jeep but likely even 2WD friendly. Zero snow on the road.
Backroad Status reported on: May 15, 2025
The Hurley is officially open. See: https://isurvivedthehurley.com/?p=3631
Andrea Tate reported on: Nov 03, 2024
Many potholes but otherwise smooth driving as always on the Hurley. Consistent and packed down snow above 1200m but otherwise dry.
Francis Bailey reported on: Jul 14, 2024
Major washboarding on the way into Gold Bridge, but otherwise good condition. Be prepared for your teeth to rattle in the final few kilometers
Francis Bailey reported on: Jun 23, 2024
Great condition the whole way and no major potholes or washboarding to deal with on this particular trip
SWBC Peak Baggers reported on: May 15, 2024
[From iSurvivedTheHurley] - Hurley is open Wednesday May 15 at 5:00pm. The road is single lane with lots of pullouts, trailer friendly, road is icy so have chains or sandbags or winter tires.

SWBC Peak Baggers reported on: May 08, 2024
[From ISurvivedTheHurley] - The road is expected to be open before May long as avalanche techs have approved snow removal operations along the road way.

Road was in excellent condition with a few ruts/pot holes to contend with. Drove all the way to gold bridge. The fire closure has been pushed back to the Gun Lake area as of writing.
