the gate at 2.5km was closed but not locked, so continued to Lorenzetta Creek where the bridge was removed.

great conditions to the gate. Gate was locked, so can't drive further.
Pretty good condition up to the gate. Single lane. Gate was closed. Didn't check to see if it was locked because I wasn't going to risk getting locked in anyway. Looks like homeless camp was trashed and unlivable. The giant RV had all windows broken and garbage strewn about. Room to turn around between the RV and the gate. Great view of the highway on the way up, though.
Gate at 2.5 km is currently vandalized (hence, open). Homeless camp right in front of the gate. A standard SUV should be able to drive to 4.5 km. Did not invest beyond, but looked rough.
Drove to 1200m with no issues, road was decent until large boulder on road that made it unpassable
