Road Bulletins
Only took this road to connect with paleface 2300. Some super minor alder, with many minor/moderate cross ditches. Shouldn’t be much of an issue in a AWD crossover type vehicle.
Doable in my stock '08 Honda CRV (w/ running boards). A couple mild cross ditches and some rocks. Stopped at the junction with Paleface 2300. At this point Paleface FSR looks to not be in as regular use and was much narrower with encroaching alders. Paleface 2300 is drivable much farther up.
Same condition as Alan reported. Alders are clipped until the 5km mark or so. After that it’s mayhem. High snowpack definitely required.
Snow starts on the road at around 600m but you could drive to the bridge out no problem.

We drove it to the major fork at 2.4km where we parked and then started walking on the right fork. As mentioned in previous bulletins, standard waterbars up until this point that just need some HC. After parking the alder has been clipped for the first little bit but then it stops. Snowline around 1000m prepare to fight alder if you want to go for Thompson, Edgar or Daly. We went and got Daly on this day.
Drove to Meroniuk spur. Quite a few water bars en route. Otherwise good 4x4 condition.
[James Moore] - We made it to about 840m elevation. There was about 5-6" snow at this point before turning around.
[From Caro Coco] - Road condition: Up to Branch 2300/Meroniuk Spur the road is snow-free and in 4x4-ish condition. Our Rav4 made it with some very careful driving, but there was some bottoming out involved. The cross-ditches are quite deep.
[From Caro Coco] - adding a few photos of the bridge/road condition beyond
[From Duffy Jimmy] - Park access! Paleface creek fsr conditions [are in] ok conditions but not bad.
