This is mainly to confirm the previous reports. We drove to the washed out bridge as indicated on the map at 9km. Condition of the road varied. Yes, some "rock gardens". For example, there is one around the 5 km point on the map. This is probably the one that turned back Stephen in the 20 May 2024 report below.
The previous bulletin is well described. This road ends at 11km aka an alder wall even tho back in the day it went further. We parked at the fork and then summitted Northgraves. The washout around 10km a full size dodge ram and my 94 stock toyota pickup on 31's made it up. I brought a shovel and pick axe and levelled the lip abit. Leading upto the lip it's in a small creek so traction on the rocks is quite loose. Make sure you use the bypass road lower down to the left over the nice new bridge otherwise you will waste time trying to follow this road the whole way.
probably fine in something thats AWD, but would probably need something with moderate clearance. theres two sections of what i call rock gardens (from minor landslides) that have left the road narrow but rough, and minorly off camber to cross that section. Theres a sign at the beginning that states the bridge is out at 9.1, but i only made it as far as 4.79km as the roughness of the road was too much for my copilot who wasnt feeling top notch at the begining of the day as it was.
