Road Bulletins
After first switchback it's mostly fine. A few potholes at the start, then those largely go away. Some medium to large water bars. Most crossovers can probably get thru with careful driving, they're not super steep+sided. A couple spots where water has started rutting the road out but it's not bad yet. A few bad storms could change it tho. Trees from winter have been largely removed. What remains can be driven around or over.
First 1.5km is in great shape, some potholes but a smooth roadbase. Afterwords it gets steep and loose causing the road to be pretty chewed up in some spots. There is also many waterbars, most are minimal but there are a couple larger ones that look like they would require some mindful driving in AWD crossover type vehicle. Anything larger shouldn't have to think about it at all. I drove as far at KM7.
Didn't get very far in my Pilot. Snow started near the start. There were warning signs that it gets steep. Only made it to 1.5 km where the cross ditches became too much. Due to the steepness and snow, decided not to risk it and turned around. Likely requires high clearance even in the summer.
Snowline currently at 600m. There are a few waterbars that you need a SUV or Truck for currently. Parts of the road above 600m that did not have snow, are a bit washed out and will probably be rough come next season.
Good condition. 4WD needed. Watch for wet areas as can get slippery. Locked gate at the top.
