Road Bulletins
Ryan Lynne reported on: Jul 19, 2026
Marking the last part of the road as impassable as it is extremely overgrown and this realistically is where 99% of people are going to stop. You can make it to 9km without trouble in a 4runner/tacoma without pinstripping, stop at the small parking area here and walk the rest of the road.
Tareef Dedhar reported on: Jun 07, 2026
Sure some potholes but a sedan could get to the turnoff for upper parking

No idea how it is past there tho
Todd Ponzini reported on: Jul 29, 2025
Up to the lower Brandywine trail at 7.7 km the roadbed is loose and rough on most hills so AWD is likely needed. Beyond this the alders gradually close in, and water bars begin. The road becomes essentially blocked by alders around the 9km mark but is walkable to the end.
Francis Bailey reported on: Feb 10, 2024
The road is plowed until ~5.5km where the turn off for the upper spur and hiking trails are. A little icy in spots but otherwise manageable. We didn't drive beyond the parking lot, so can't comment on the condition

[From Mike Buda] - Brandywine FSR is easily drivable to the parking lot at 800m
