motor vehicle closure sign
In good condition, at least until the Sootip turnoff. A sign at the entrance says the area is closed to motor vehicles from Dec. 1 to May 31, but there doesn't seem to be anything about this online.

I found some old regulations here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/farming-natural-resources-and-industry/natural-resource-use/land-water-use/crown-land/land-use-plans-and-objectives/southcoast-region/seatosky-lrmp/plan/seatosky_lrmp_plan_non-commercial_winter_recreation_zones_7apr2009.pdf. But couldn't find anything in the latest motor vehicle act. My guess is the sign is no longer relevant, but I will try calling in tomorrow to see!

Thanks for calling! I thought the sign might be out of date, but it looked pretty new so I wasn't sure.

Any update if the prohibition is in effect this winter? It's been one of our favorite places and would like to go back.
So it turns out it is indeed in effect. I got a reply back today and the district responded with this document: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/farming-natural-resources-and-industry/natural-resource-use/land-water-use/crown-land/land-use-plans-and-objectives/southcoast-region/seatosky-lrmp/legal/seatosky_lrmp_land_act_permission_notice_19dec2023.pdf. It’s outside the purview of the wildlife act so it hasn’t neen included on the map. However I’ll will add this zone in this week so it’s visible
