Road Bulletins
The washout at 15 km is still there. Minor creek crossing before bridge. The section just before the creek crossing is a little rough. Made it across in my Pilot.
Roads in impeccable condition! Almost no potholes, smooth sailing. Easily accessible with 2WD.
Washout before bridge at 15 km. I didn't attempt to cross it, but should be easy in 4x4 HC. Unsure if I could pass with increased angle from the snow accumulation. Made it here in my AWD Pilot Trailsport. A few potholes hidden under the snow in the last few km to here since there were no tire tracks.
In good condition, at least until the Sootip turnoff. A sign at the entrance says the area is closed to motor vehicles from Dec. 1 to May 31, but there doesn't seem to be anything about this online.
There was about a foot of snow on the way in this morning, but after a kilometre in the road was suddenly plowed. We drove all the way to Branch 5 where we ran into a logging crew who informed us they were plowing up to ~2km. Their grader was still working the road so we opted to park at the base. Soo River FSR was not plowed at all beyond this point
[From Nicolle Zhen] - road is muddy in sections but otherwise no snow until the 1400m to 1500m mark (beyond the road terminus)
[From Tara VH] - Drove to the Soo River Branch 5 turn off at the 8.5km mark. No reported issues on the road up to that point.
