8.2km tape saying bridge closed by BC forestry. You can just drive under it if you are so inclined. Take that for what you will
Road good after for a bit, but some water bars and then there's "the washout" mentioned below. 3rd gen grand Vitara got thru. Next was a water bar stuffed with firm snow we had to dig out. Fine when dug tho
After was another big washout a bit after 12k. I almost made it but probably needed to air down and didn't have Fs to give or clearance to spare. Built or top tier rigs can make it to 13k+
Somewhere around 14k it becomes a bad hiking route
Went all the way to the trailhead, camped overnight. No signs of wildlife. Road in great 2wd condition. A well equipped rig can make it pass the washout, but will only make it about 1km further.
I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of Hope Creek FSR. I had always assumed this was a rougher road that was heavily overgrown, but it's not. The majority of the road is in great shape and can be driven fairly quickly. The final few kilometers are a little more deteriorated, with a few minor cross ditches and narrowing bushes. There was no issue with pinstriping, a major plus for me. My passenger said he would be comfortable driving his sedan to roads end but YMMV as he takes his to places others may not with a sedan. It was an easy drive in a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
