Road Bulletins
Sean Caulfield reported on: Jun 28, 2026
Previous report accurate, except there is only one large fridge sized boulder blocking access that needs to be winched out of the way, the other rocks are all football-sized & can be easily moved or driven over/around. I dragged my hitch on 2-3 of the ditches but they were fairly smooth as cross ditches go

Deep cross ditches the entire way, and progressively degrades as you move up. Very steep and loose, with lots of large sharp rocks and fallen debris on the upper sections.
A lengthy section of fallen rocks and slide debris will stop all but ATV's at ~4.7 kms.

Parked at about 800 m elevation and rode bikes the rest of it. Could've scraped up further but got sick of navigating the endless ditches. A jeep drove up to and parked at the main blockage. Road is signed as decommissioned at the bottom.

10/10 scenic road though.

I drove up to 660 m before the new snow became too deep (~ 10 cms). Probably could've gone further with chains. Much of the snow had melted by the afternoon so might be clear to ~ 1200 m unless more snow has fallen.
Lots of small cross ditches and a few really big ones. Had some hitch dragging on my FJ which is rare. Otherwise seems to be good condition.
